We may not have found much then... But US troops have found evidence of chemical weapons now. No these weapons are not remnants of Saddam’s stock pile (At least on this point, the Bush admin was correct. Saddam had them and used them), but have been found in insurgent and militia stock piles. Earlier this week a bomb was detonated that spread deadly chlorine gas. 2 people were killed, 28 injured. Two other chlorine attacks have been reported. The US is using targeted raids to attempt to stop this kind of warfare before major attacks begin.
You should all be glad I don’t live in Egypt ...An Egyptian blogger has been sentenced to four years in jail for insulting Islam. This is Egypt ’s first blogger to face trial, but certainly not its first journalist. Not that I insult Islam, but I do a lot of insulting in general. I give props to the US for its glorious Constitution.
300 mil plus for us, 150 mil minus for them... Russia is facing a population crisis. The largest country on earth (in land, not people) is losing its population at an alarming rate. Like most industrialized nations, its birthrate has fallen as people are better able to plan pregnancy. However, unlike most industrialized nations, Russia also faces a decline in life expectancy that rivals many third world nations. The average life expectancy is 60 for Russian men, but around 75 for American men. Immigration is a possible solution, but the government remains very xenophobic.
No special treatment for this royal...Britain’s Prince Harry will be deployed to Iraq . The prince attended Sandhurst Military Academy in Britain and has been in the military for the past few years. He is a Second Lieutenant and will assume a troop commander’s role after arrival in Iraq . Critics worry that his presence will increase the likelihood of attacks on his unit by insurgents. A British royal would be quite a prize to insurgents. Prince Henry is third in line for the British throne.
This is your short news you can use for today. Got plastic specs to sort out! Enjoy...
